My first time deep frying food. I messed up, but that’s user error. This pot is small and great; the rack and thermometer are handy features. This is something you definitely want to hand wash. Good for serving 1 to 2 people, but anymore than that you’ll probably want something bigger.

I’ve made tempura shrimp and veggie dishes before using my Dutch oven. Never comes out perfect. It’s always Either under done or burnt. I got this because I love tempura so much. This makes it so easy to make a quick snack or a full dinner. Just do everything in batches. My favorite oil to use is peanut oil but since that is quite expensive I also have used canola oil with great success. This is extremely accurate and easy to use. It is also dishwasher safe.

I am trying to stay away from deep fryers as they are usually very messy and hard to clean, but not the case with this fryer. I like the design, it seems to be much more efficient than traditional deep fryers. While you do lose a bit of space with the sheer amount you can cook and drain at the same time, you gain in the lack of cleanup and the convenience of the size of the overall unit. It is easy to assemble and the automatic draining system lets you go from cooking to draining seamlessly.
